Title: The Doctor Lies
Fandom: Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes
Characters: The Doctor (which one is debatable, I'll leave it up to you to decide), Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, Ari Jacobs
Summary: Everyone knows the Doctor lies...
Author's Notes: Started out as the Doctor and Ari visiting Holmes and Watson and investigating the Ripper killings... it's now something completely different. The crime is anyway.

Nothing much to Squee about, I just really like that icon ^_^

I have a job now; it's with the campus catering company. I'm sure they have an official name, but I haven't a freaking clue what it is. Anyway, I don't hate it, but if anything else comes along, I'll jump on it. I'm hoping they need desk attendants in my dorm next semester, as my schedule is going to be crazy and I'll be able to do homework while I'm working :D

I have to work today at 11, which means I'll be leaving right from class to head to work. On the upside, today's the only day I have to work until after Thanksgiving, so I'll have plenty of time for homework and other things.

Classes are going well, I think. I've never been a really great student, so I don't have very high expectations.

Hoping to have a Classic Doctor Who party this weekend or next week. Originally wanted to have it Tuesday, as Wednesday is TARDIS Day, but some of my on campus friends wouldn't be able to come if I did that. We'll see what happens.

I started NaNo, but haven't gotten very far on it, due to class and mass crocheting. A couple of people have asked to see what I have so far, so I thought I'd post it here. It'll have it's own special post following this one.

I miss my munchkin.

Okay, I now have this set up so that it cross posts to my live journal :D Hooray!

So, I've been on campus for a week now and I think I'm settling in well. The first night was rough, as I was here, in this nice apartment like dorm suite, all by myself. At first I tried to go to bed early and just sleep the night away to forget I was away from home, alone. Originally, I'd planned to have Kay spend the night so that it wouldn't be so weird, but because of campus rules, I wasn't allowed to have guests until after the 31st. Trying to sleep didn't work out; as some of you may know, I have a bit of a obsessive cleaning disorder. Ask Kay, I've cleaned her room a time or two. So me going to bed early turned into me organizing my entire room. I had it done in maybe an hour, and it helped a lot! Having everything set up made the place feel a lot more like home and I felt a lot more at ease.

Oh, you want pictures? There you are. I think I've moved a couple things around since I took those pictures, I might take some more later. My bed requires a stool to get up into, as I'm a bit short and fat. I'm working on the latter though, as I have no car and have to walk everywhere. I think I'm losing weight, or at least toning muscle. We'll see!

Don't really remember what I did my first day on campus. At least not in great detail. I walked down to the University center and got food from Graham Street Cafe. Ever been there? Go. They have signature chips that are completely delicious, as is the BBQ Chicken Chipotle panini. I can't spell, have I mentioned that? I also did laundry.

The next couple days were spent at Kay's house. We went to see Captain America on Friday night and watched Doctor Who all day Saturday. It was indeed awesome, but I'm not going into detail, in case someone hasn't seen it yet.

I was back to college on sunday, where NOTHING FOR FOOD WAS OPEN. >P I ended up walking to McDonald's, which wasn't too bad of a walk. Monday I did laundry again and ordered dinner from Topper's Pizza. IT WAS YUMMY. I will totally do it again. Sarah, my roommate from Sweden arrived around 10:30pm and went straight to bed. We've been hanging out a lot! On tuesday, we walked to the bookstore and had lunch together and today we walked almost a mile to Walmart. We walked back as well, which was insane and we won't be doing again as long as there is warm weather. I like Sarah a lot, glad we get along.

My other two roommates, Sara and Virginia arrived after midnight on Wednesday. Haven't really seen much of them, so I can't say much about them. Hopefully I'll like them too.

Tomorrow is TRANSFERmation. Woo hoo. Should probably go to bed soon, as check in is at 10:30am. Planning to escape the moment I get bored and go grab some Chinese. Tell you how it went tomorrow.

This blog is going to chronicle my upcoming return to college, specifically University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, as an adult student who will be living on campus. I'll be getting a job on campus to support myself, taking classes and maybe even having somewhat of a social life.

Nothing much to say at the moment, as I'm not at school yet, but I can tell you what prompted me to do this. I'm 24-years-old right now (25 in October). I have an associates degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences: Humanities, which anyone who has that degree will tell you its almost worthless. I didn't really apply myself while I was working towards that degree, as I had a job at a local radio station and the station manager told me that I just needed a degree in something to move up with the company. I lost that job the same year I got the degree. Since then, I've worked at a box store, an outsourced call center and for various after school programs. I've been on unemployment and I've done a LOT of crocheting. All the time, I was living with my parents and 3-year-old sister, and we were driving each other crazy. I couldn't afford to move out with the job I had and the job hours were so random, it was hard to get a second job. I knew I needed to go back to college to get a better job. That's when I decided to kill two birds with one stone; not only would I go back to school, but I would live on campus in order to get away from my family for a while.

My first choice of colleges is the one I'm attending. Second choice was the one I got my associates from, which is only appealing because I could have kept my job with the After School programs. I preferred UWW because I have friends out there and it's 15 hours away from home. I've never been that far from home before and I feel it's something I need to do.

On August 24th, I'll be moving into a suite in Starin Hall. My three suite-mates will be moving in sometime after that. There's Sarah from Sweden, Sara from Spain and Virginia from Spain.

Fun fact- my real name is Sarah. Thankfully, I go by Paxie most of, if not all of the time. I will likely think up nicknames for the other two Sara(h)'s...

Sarah from Sweden and I have emailed back and forth a few times and I think we'll get along really well. Sara from Spain likes CSI:Miami; I'm more of a CSI:NY girl, but I'll probably watch it with her just because I enjoy watching TV shows with people. I don't know Virginia too well. It's going to be interesting, but thankfully we each have our own bedrooms...

I'm looking forward to having the place to myself for a day or two before the rest of the girls show up; Sarah says she'll arrive on the 28th and Virginia said she'll come on the 30th. Haven't heard from Sara. If Sara's not there on the 27th, I plan on having some friends over to watch the mid-season premier of Doctor Who. If she is there, I'll still have it if she's okay with it.

Well, that's about it for me right now. I'll have more to post when it gets closer to move-in date, including some pictures of campus and my room.

Ciao!
